In this course, we will read works of creative nonfiction by Asian American writers that simultaneously break with and innovate/radicalize tradition(s). We will read short texts, essays, and books by contemporary (twenty-first century) writers, although we will also look back at some of the groundbreaking writers/works to which the work of the new generation(s) is responding, challenging, and paying tribute.
